Nicklaus Signature Course opens in Idaho

Scott Wilson of Flagstick Films made the trek to Sandpoint, ID to cover the grand opening of The Idaho Club hosted by Jack Nicklaus, the course designer. Located in the upper tip of Idaho's panhandle, Sandpoint makes a stunning location for the premiere golf and residential club. Nestled in the foothills of the Selkirks and flirting with the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, The Idaho Club is home to 18 holes of unforgettable golf.
Scott spent four days filming the course and natural setting in high definition. The middle of the week was punctuated with the grand opening festivities including a press conference with Jack Nicklaus, a clinic on the practice range and the playing of eleven holes in front of a crowd of 300+.
"Keeping up with Jack is definitely a challenge!" Scott reported. "He's there to play for the crowd, not the camera. It was a benefit to spend two days filming the course before his group arrived. It helped me navigate through and around the crowd to capture his play and commentary on the course."
Scott shot scenic footage of the course, clubhouse and surrounding area including aerials from a seaplane that takes off and lands at the Marina Club. "It's just a magical place, absolutely beautiful."
